Who's Going to Genericon 2013? We're Going!

Ink's schedule after the break

I think there’s goin’ to be a small get-together at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I think it might be sci-fi-themed. I think it might be GENERCON XXVI! I know science fiction author Tim Maughan, anime voice actor Kyle Hebert, and stand-up geek comic Uncle Yo will be there as guests. I know Alain Mendez (Hisui of the Reverse Thieves) and Walter Amos (Hetalia authority) will be featured panelists. I know our very own Evan Minto and David Estrella will be there. And I finally know what I’ll be doing there (aside from snappin’ pics and talkin’ wise)! Check out my tentative schedule after the break. Any duplicate listings will most likely come down to how I’m feeling at the moment or a toss of a coin. If you happen to be near Troy, NY, come on by and check it out! Looks like there’s a lot of great stuff to see and do.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Hey folks, Evan here. Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I’ve been super-busy with Genericon. That’s because, as you may or may not be aware, I am the Convention Chair of the con! That means lots and lots (and lots and lots) of work, especially as we get closer to the con. On the bright side, that also means I’ll be at Genericon for nearly the entire convention, so you should totally come by to say hi and see my events. I’ll be running Opening Ceremonies (Friday), Eye of Argon (Friday/Saturday midnight), Truth from Fiction: The Life and Work of Satoshi Kon (Saturday), Clay-O-Rama (Saturday/Sunday midnight), Anime Jeopardy (Sunday), and Closing Ceremonies (Sunday). Phew!

It’s also worth noting that Ink has been really picking up the slack for me during Genericon season. I want to thank him profusely for all his help running the blog in my stead. Hopefully you didn’t even notice the difference!
