This Week in Ani-Gamers ~ 6/8/08

This was one of the most action-packed weeks we’ve had yet on Ani-Gamers, and I don’t really know why. Anyway, we started off the week with a horrible tragedy: the attack on over 24 people in Japan’s otaku shopping district, Akihabara. Other highlights for the week include Media Blasters licensing the short anime series Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and Production I.G announcing plans to release a revamped Ghost in the Shell in Japan this July.

In terms of reviews, we got two awesome reviews from our prolific reviewer Uncle Yo: One for Production I.G’s twentieth anniversary project Ghost Hound, and another for Gainax’s re-envisioning of Hideaki Anno’s classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Look forward to more reviews and a con report or two in the future. Oh, and Uncle Yo and I will both be at AnimeNEXT in New Jersey, so watch out people!

We still don’t have anyone subscribed to the newsletter, so make sure to be the first to sign up by clicking here.
