Zenkaikon 2013

Adventures in Lancaster

What used to be the third closest con to my front door is moving west to Lancaster, PA. Is Zenkaikon worth it? I hope so! The formerly Philadelphia-area con, plagued with location dificulties for the past couple of iterations, has never let me down in the past, and the move to Lancaster is a daring gamble. There has always been a deliciously varied panel and workshop selection, and this year looks no different in that regard. The guests this year are among the most notable there have been (to my recollection and experience), and both the venue and the town hosting the con promise a much more accommodating atmosphere than previous years. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to seeing how everything comes together. After the break, you can check out my tentative schedule. Adhesion to said schedule (as always) is subject to whim, and conflicts shall be solved by coin toss or recommendation. Also, come say hi if you see an older bald dude toting around a black bag with “Poetry” on it. That’ll be me! …probably.
