Death Note on Adult Swim This October

Death Note
Cartoon Network’s late-night Adult Swim block officially confirmed on Thursday that the anime Death Note will premeir on the network on October 20 at midnight. This means that the immensely popular anime will be shown in its final dubbed form a full month before its November 20 DVD release.

For those not keeping up with the licensing of Death Note, it has been licensed by Viz Media, who also holds the manga under their Shonen Jump Advanced label. Adult Swim had a blacked out spot on their schedule for a time, and gave viewers tantalizing hints that it would be Death Note. Closely following the incredible success of Adult Swim’s Fullmetal Alchemist programming, Death Note looks to be another smash hit for the network.
